  Bagsværd Fort

The Bagsværd Fort was build during the years 1892 and 1893.
The fort is triangle-shaped and has casemates and a dry moad like most of the others. It is
similar to the Gladsaxe Fort.

Bagsvaerd Fort was supposed to prevent enemy attack between the Gladsaxe Fort and the Lyngby Fort.
The Fort is unique because the glacis, one of the observation towers and the palisades are intact. The main armament consisted of 8 pcs. of 120 mm Haubitz. Four placed in cuppolas on top af the fort, and four in the caponieres.

It was decommissioned in 1920.
