  Kongelundsfort

The Kongelunds Fort was originally the Kongelunds Battery. It was build as a coastal battery during the years 1914-1916. It was supposed to protect the planned minefields in Køge Bugt.
The main armament was 6 pcs of rapid firing Haubitz.

At first these guns were not positioned at the fort, but in two batteries north and south of the fort. This was due to the fact, that these guns only were able to reach
8,4 kilometres, while the German naval and landbased guns could reach 14 kilometres.

In 1959 the Kongelunds Fort was rebuild to radar command center for the NIKE missiles.
In 1982 the fort was decommissioned.
